Minimize to SysTray

The "minimize to systray" function doesn't seem to work on Alpha skins...
Tried with "5impleAlpha", "Arrow" and "Aura" skins... all the same.
This works with non "alpha" skins though.
Same problem with titlebar button sound effects...
Is all this normal ?
Is it going to be fixed later ?
I'm looking forward to Rundll32 fix, as many people here...
This version rocks anyway !

I'm assuming you're using Windowblinds 5 Beta (Since you mentioned the rundll32 problem).
Where are you seeing the "Minimize to systray" option? (Are you referring to the "Make minimize button minimize to the tray" option under the "User Overrides" section?)

Hey I'm actually having this problem not only with OD items, but XP items too...like for example my volume control will just dissapear. Everything is set for it to show in the Systray, but NOTHING doing...sometimes a restarts fixes, and sometimes it doesn't...what's up with that? Oh and in regards to an OB item, I have only had that happen with the ODlauncher, I have it set to min to the systray, but when I do it's gone like I had the "no access when minimized" option clicked.

Yeah, I've got the same problem as PaulErik. With version 4, I had set it up so that double-clicking the titlebar would minimize the window to the system tray. That isn't working in version 5.
Other than that, I'm having no problems.

There is actually no system tray support for Windowblinds5 Beta. Directly from the readme.txt (written by the development team):
"The systray icon not being visible is a "feature" of this build. It'll be coming back in later releases in a different way."
I wonder what this "different way" will be?

Mr PIMPJUICE001: Does this issue only occur when you are running Windowblinds? Which version of Windowblinds and which version of Windows (including service packs) are you running?

The strange thing is that I don't have any problem with "old" (= WB4) skins.
It only occurs with per pixel skins...
Therefore it doesn't seem to belong to WB5, but with per pixel skins. Any clue ?
BTW : I'm running WB5 latest beta and Windows XP SP2.
Thanks - Paul-Eric

I think the SysTray icon referred to in the readme is for WindowBlinds itself, not other windows or apps that may be minimized to the SysTray. Personally, I like the "feature" of not having a WB SysTray icon.

I was not speaking about WB icon in SysTray, but of the ability to send any window's icon there. This is possible with WB4 skins (even when running WB5) but not with WB5 skins.

Thats true: It works only with non-PerPixel skins. Since their skinning is performed in a unique way, some features non-PerPixel skins have are not available to the PerPixel skins (eg. Titlebar sounds). Support for minimizing to the system tray is a feature that might be reintroduced to PerPixel skins in the future.

Thanks for your answer, Mike !
Do you think it will be long ? I miss these features...

Unfortunately we have no official word on any of these features. I'd just keep an optimistic attitude because as far as final releases are concerned, the Windowblinds development team hasn't let us down yet!
